Combat Ju-jutsu Ground Fighting Short Tournament rules

( Ne Waza rules)

1. Basic rules

Ground Fighting is done on the tatami size 6 by 6 m. Before the match the competitors stand on their knees at the

center distance 1 m face to face. All commands are the same for the category

"Combat Ju-Jitsu" Duration of the match is 2 min. If there is a droll. Additional time is given 1 min. If there is a need additional 1 min is added.

2. Permitted and illegal moves.

Permitted actions:

* pain techniques on hands and legs, similar to sambo techniques

* choking techniques, similar to judo techniques

* dropping, holding, throwing

* striking techniques using knees and hands

Forbidden:

* using any strikes to the spine

* knee strikes to the head

* elbow strikes

* bite, scratching

* using pain and choking technique by explosive force

* any pressure on the spine

* pushing with the elbow

3. Judging and overview of results

Match is watch over the team of judges:

Head judge ( judge on tatami ), referee and time kipper.

Match start with the command „Fight” or "Boy", stopping the match command "Stop".

Winner is announced by raised hand and command “Win” or "Pobeda".

Victory at the initial and additional time awarded:

- for execution of pain technique

- for execution of choking technique

- for striking by fixating strikes on tatami,

next to the head, showing a full control over opponent

Victory for first active move awarded:

- for dropping and holding more then 5 sek.

- for holding and executing serious of fixating and control strikes on tatami

Victory awarded by the judges, by team judges decision. For overview picture of the match.

In exception cases ( for exception at the semifinals and finals matches ) may awarded the droll.

4. Garment and equipment of the competitors.

Competitors wearing judo or sambo grappling costumes. On the feet permitted to have shoes

( wrestling shoes ) or bare foot.

Gloves for striking and holding that weighs 4 ounces.
